Camera Cart Rental recommends: Travel Light 2009 Workshop


The biggies of the the Philippine's photography scene have huddled together to give out these workshops! If this were a basketball game, this is going to be tagged as an all-star!

We here at Camera Cart are giving the thumbs up! Those of you who want to take their art to the next level must consider taking any, if not all, of these workshops. A lot of photography tips are up for grabs. So we say, give your SLR camera a good dusting. Get to the nearest ATM. Time to spend some bucks on yourself!


TRAVEL LIGHT PHOTOGRAPHY WORKSHOPS
SMX Convention Center (September 2 – 5, 2009)

International Destination Wedding Photography

This workshop will feature creating professional portraits, mastering your on-camera metering system, creative flash techniques, using a combination of available, flash and tungsten lights, professional posing techniques, 6 practical exercises for every participant with hands-on supervision & instruction, individual time with models, 1 LIVE on-location shoot (LIMITED to 25 participants only – first 25 delegates to register online/remit payment)

Digital 101: Basic Photography and Traditional Darkroom Techniques

This workshop is designed for digital camera users who want to learn the basics of photography. It discusses the factors affecting photographic output, basic understanding of light, the digital camera and its functions, and exposure setting. The workshop also teaches participants how to see and take better pictures, manipulate images and output. Jun Miranda will guide you in the use of traditional darkroom techniques to enhance your shoots.


To further enhance the participants’ knowledge, the workshop will entail shooting assignments, working in a digital darkroom and a photo clinic. Working in a digital darkroom and photo clinic is limited to the first 20 delegates who register online /remit payment)

Jun Miranda will take you to an informational and fun-filled day that will help you understand your camera, your film and your light.

Food Photography

Learn new set of photographic skills. Create images of food that ‘look good enough to eat’. This workshop will teach you the fundamentals of food photography, including metering, lighting, styling, composing, propping, and choosing backgrounds that will make your work distinctive. Mark Floro will share his approaches, techniques, and special tricks for photographing different types of food. Lighting set ups for shooting food on location vs. the studio and importance of modifying your style depending on your client will also be discussed.

Mark Floro will give feedback on your shoots. The photo clinic is available to the first 20 delegates who register online / remit payment.

The Language of Fashion Photography

This workshop will demonstrate photographing two models in four different sets. All delegates will have the chance to take photos of the models. However, photo clinic is limited to the first 20 delegates who register online / remit payment. This workshop is open to anyone serious about beauty & fashion photography. There's no training better than hands-on experience!

WORK CRITIQUE SESSION

On the workshop days, critiquing per topic is limited to the first 25 or 20 delegates who register online and remit payment.
